First round

Where is Boromir v the White Finger

 The scenario is diced for, there are 18 possible scenarios I rolled “Recovery”.The quest is to recover an anciemnt relic.5 identical object markers are scattered across the table, one of which is marked underneath. Possession of the relic at the end of the game will bring a reward.

I rolled up the terrain using a simple system dicing for each quadrant of the table as to whether it contained hills, woods, rivers, buildings or nothing of note. The object markers, 25mmm bases, are placed.

The companies walk on from opposing edges.

Both companies head towards the nearest object markers. On turn 4 Garulf finds the relic. It is treated as a heavy object and as such one character carrying it moves at half speed. Garulf heads towards the table edge. His companions move to block any pursuit, the Uruks hurry towards them.

On turn 6, Uldo shots Garulf, taking him out, the relic lies on the hillside.  

Galastor leads his men in a charge down the hill into the Uruks

Baldred picks up the relic, Uldo shoots him, taking him out. Uldo is proving to be a deadly shot. The Uruks shout and jeer. However, the melee does not go well for the Isengarders.  Galastor cuts down three of the Uruks, Hastor takes out two more.

The White Finger are roundly beaten, despite Vargan wounding Estendor, in the last turn, he is surrounded and cut down.

The relic was carried off by Hastor who chooses the path of the Warrior and gains one wound. Galastor chooses the path of the general and gains +1 fight value.

Uldo and Baldred both die from their wounds. Where is Boromir are reinforced with Evandor, a knight for Dol Amroth. 

Round 1 a convincing victory for the Men of the West.

I think overall the game went well, I am becoming familiar with the rules and how the game plays, I decide to use the same scenario for the next fight

Hadred tries the old "look at that!" tactic

Gorbash finds the relic on turn 3. The orcs use their numbers effectively, blocking anyway through to him as he heads for the far side of the battle field. The men of Rohan put up a good solid fight, taking out Brazzag, Guzgob and Skargob.

Madgash takes out Hadred

Outnumbered, the Rohirrim were unable to stop the Orcs carrying away the trophy.

Gorbash steals the trophy is promoted to hero, chooses the warriors path and gains an extra wound. He buys a shield.

Hadred and Dunhere both die from their wounds.
